Meet the Therapist

Amy Wong, OTR/L

I've spent over a decade working alongside kids and the families who love them — in feeding therapy, sensory processing, school-based support, and everything in between.

My path here wasn't purely academic. Occupational therapy became personal to me long before it became my career, through a family member's own experience with OT after a spinal cord injury. I watched, up close, what it looks like when therapy is done with someone instead of at them — and that's the standard I hold myself to with every child I see.

How I work

I practice from a neuroaffirming, trauma-informed lens. That means:

  • Your child's differences aren't something to fix — they're something to understand and build from.

  • Progress is measured in real life, not just on paper: can your child eat comfortably at the table, get through a school day with less overwhelm, play alongside a sibling.

  • You know your child better than any assessment does. You're a partner in this process, not a bystander.

A little more about me

Outside of  the clinic, I'm usually knee-deep in play with my own two wild, wonderful children. As a family, we love to be outdoors–hiking/camping and  exploring with our giant New Foundland named Sunny.  I find deep joy in dancing and I practice what I preach when it comes to making time for play! Making and eating delicious, nourishing foods is both a passion of mine and a very big part of how I spend my time! I aim to bring the  same joyful, patient, messy-is-best  attitude into every day at homes and  therapy sessions alike. I truly believe I have the best job in the world and feel so lucky that I get to do what I do!
